This Privacy Policy explains how MG Media LLC (“MG Media”, “I”, “me”, or “we”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you visit themgmedia.com or contact me. By using the site or submitting a form, you agree to this policy.

Information I collect

Information you give me. When you submit a form on the site, I collect what you enter, which may include your name, email address, company or website, monthly ad spend range, what you sell, your message, your timeline, and how you found me.

Information collected automatically. If you accept cookies, I use analytics and marketing tools that collect standard technical data such as your IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, and how you interact with the site. My hosting provider also keeps standard server logs for security and reliability.

To measure and improve my marketing, where you have consented
To keep the site secure and prevent abuse

Legal bases (for visitors in the EU and UK)

I process your data on these bases: your consent (for cookies and marketing), my legitimate interests (running and securing my business, and understanding site usage), and, where relevant, to take steps toward or perform a contract with you.

Cookies and tracking

Essential functions of the site work without tracking cookies. Analytics and marketing tools (such as Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, and the Meta Pixel) only load after you accept cookies through the banner. If you decline, those tools are not loaded. You can change your choice at any time by clearing your browser storage for this site, which brings the banner back.

Tree counter widget. The footer of every page shows how many trees I have planted through Treeapp. It loads a small script from thetreeapp.org to display that count, and this script runs whether or not you accept cookies, because it shows information rather than tracking you or advertising to you. Two things follow from that. First, as with anything loaded from another website, Treeapp receives your IP address and browser type so that it can serve the widget. Second, the widget saves the tree count on your device for 24 hours so it does not have to request it again on every page you visit. It does this with a cookie named taw_cache, or with your browser’s session storage if cookies are unavailable. The stored value is a cached number and is not used to identify you or follow you between sites. The widget also loads its font from Google Fonts.

I do not sell your personal information. I share it only with the service providers I use to run the site and my business, including:

Cloudflare, for hosting and for storing form submissions (based in the United States)
Google, for Tag Manager, Analytics, and web fonts
Meta, for advertising measurement through the Meta Pixel
Slack, so I get notified of new form submissions
Treeapp, which supplies the tree counter shown in the site footer
Trustpilot, which hosts my client reviews

Each of these processes data under their own privacy terms.

International transfers

MG Media is based in the United States, and your information is processed there. If you contact me from outside the US, you understand your data will be transferred to and stored in the US.

How long I keep your data

I keep form submissions for as long as I need them to respond to you and to keep reasonable business records. You can ask me to delete your data at any time.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. If you are in California, you may request to know what I have collected and ask me to delete it. I do not sell personal information. Security

I take reasonable steps to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so I cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

The site is meant for business owners and is not directed at children under 16. I do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to this policy

I may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top shows when it last changed.
